“Build Your First Noise Box” is an engaging and hands-on workshop where you’ll create a unique electronic instrument capable of producing a wide range of experimental sounds using various materials like metal, wood, and springs. This workshop is for musicians, DIY enthusiasts, and anyone curious about blending creativity with basic electronics.

What You’ll Learn:

* Introduction to Noise Boxes: Discover what noise boxes are and their signifi– cance in experimental music.
* Basic Electronics: Gain a fundamental understanding of components.
* Assembly: Get hands-on experience with assembling your noise box.

* Sound Exploration: Experiment with your noise box to uncover different sounds and effects.
* Creative Applications: Discover how to incorporate your noise box into musical projects and live performances, including tips on recording samples for further experimentation.

Timeline:

15min: Introducing to noise boxes and general informations.
45min: Hands-on crafting, including drilling, cutting, joining, and assembly. 30min: Experimenting the sounds with the noise box, learning to combine it with effect chains, and recording samples.

What to Bring:

* (Optional) Any metal or wood materials, personal electronic effect pedals for guitars or enclosures you’d like to incorporate.
* (Optional) Wired headphone

All materials and components will be provided, including the box, springs, other pieces, microphones, effects chains, and sound system.
